Update Pipeline

  1. CMS publishes updated CASPER data monthly (typically the first week of each month)
  2. Our automated pipeline fetches the full dataset via the CMS REST API
  3. Records are upserted to our database using CMS Certification Number (CCN) as the unique key
  4. New agencies are added; existing records are updated with latest star ratings and contact data
  5. Subscribers on Pro plan are notified by email when the monthly refresh completes

The last ingestion ran on April 8, 2026. The database currently contains 12,251 agencies.

What This Data Is — and Isn't

✓ What it is

  • Official CMS administrative data — the same source Medicare uses internally
  • Structured and searchable — cleaned, deduplicated, and indexed for fast queries
  • Current — refreshed monthly from the CMS publication cycle
  • Comprehensive — all 50 states, all Medicare-certified agencies

⚠ What it isn't

  • Not real-time — reflects the most recent CMS monthly publication
  • Not enriched with survey deficiency history (not in this CMS dataset)
  • Not patient data — no PHI, no clinical records, no patient names
  • Not an endorsement — we publish data; we make no claim about agency quality

HIPAA

HHAdata.com does not store, transmit, or process protected health information (PHI). All data on this platform is publicly available CMS administrative data about agencies — not patients. We are not a covered entity under HIPAA. Independent verification: all columns in our database relate to agency registration, quality metrics, and contact information — no patient identifiers, diagnoses, or clinical records of any kind.
